Duplicating products

Hi all,

How do i duplicate a product to show on multiple pages.

Eg: I have one product say a serving board that can be listed in a homewares page and also a kitchen page

If all the products are in the same Store [v7.1] or Product Page [7.0] you can add two categories to the product so that it appears in both areas of the site. If they are on separate store/product pages, you cannot do this. 

How will it affect my inventory if I place the same product in two separate locations?

I have a client who doesn't worry about his inventory on Squarespace, tracks it some other way. So for products like this I just duplicated the product on the first product page, then moved the duplicate to the second page, where I changed the description to fit the new context. Gave it a different url. No problems so far. 

@CatherineJoMorgan can you tell me how you move the duplicate product to another page?

@ChristyVLF - Go to the product page where the duplicate product you want to move is. Find the duplicate product on the list and then click on the 3 horizontal dots beside it on the right. Choose "MOVE" then choose the page you want to move it to.
