Troublemaker
Hi there, I have been asked to build a website that allows users to add postings, threads and generally communicate - much like Squarespace circle forum. It would included memberships and other members to add comments - a community site. It is largely for the sharing of information. Is Squarespace even capable of such a site? Or is there a 3rd party add-on? It is possible to do in Wordpress (groan) but even then with various plug-ins. Any help appreciated. Many thanks. Link to comment
paul2009
Specialist discussion forum products are better for this. That’s why Squarespace built the Circle using Invision Community rather than Squarespace. Other popular choices include Discourse and Insided. About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017. Troublemaker
Thanks @paul2009 - That's just what I was after. Is it worth integrating these within a SQSP shell, or is it too advanced without a specific integration? If I can use something out of the box, it will get it started sooner. Thanks for your help. paul2009
I'd recommend that you build it on the discussion platform and then use a subdomain of your Squarespace site's domain name to host it - just like this forum.
