Text and opacity to appear on image after hover

Has anyone figured out how to have text appear and opacity change on hover over images or gallery images just like they do in portfolio grids?

Can you share link to gallery on your site? I think some CSS can solve.

I used a portfolio page as a base to start with and like the way the text and opacity change on hover but I need to break up the images under different headings etc and found I couldn't have the same effect of image blocks of gallery sections!

I see you solved hover effect?

afraid not!

the first 3 images are the portfolio page gallery which the effect can be switched on for.

The other sections were where I was trying to recreate it!

Any ideas?
