Hide navigation bar so that logo and links overlay banner

I am using impact template and currently my website has a navigation bar on top with logo and links. I'd like remove it so that the image (banner below) can shift up and logo and links can overlay it (homepage would look cleaner) - any suggestion how to do it?

Add to Page Settings > Advanced > Header
