Stripe accepts bancontact, but squarespace doesn't support bancontact. That's quite annoying as I did a whole website setup (over 120 products) and now I'm having this totally unexpected issue. NathanAndre Posted May 27, 2020 Share Posted May 27, 2020 I am in the same situation.. I have to admit that is it really annoying, Squarespace isn't made at all for Europe. cedricgodart Posted June 5, 2020 Share Posted June 5, 2020 Same issue here... Strip does support Bancontact and QR code transactions but Squarespace won't allow it. Most VIsa and Mastercard card are credit cards in Belgium and customers are reluctant to use it.... 😕 I guess Shopify is the only solution.. But always the same answer: "We will send the information to our development team." If they don't need our European customers, we will go to Shopify. Only option. Thanks squarespace. When I activate this stripe account through the shop, it only shows the payment method: visa, credit card. Apart from PayPal, Squarespace only supports Stripe for bank card payments, Apple Pay and AfterPay/ClearPay. You cannot take other types of payment via Stripe using the Squarespace checkout.
