anthology123
Site URL: https://www.theanthology.net/ Hi there! My site can accept payment method with credit and debit card via the Paypal optional function (see photos). However, the default Paypal button on the checkout page only shows 'Paypal' and it is actually confusing for shoppers because they would assume having a Paypal account is the only way to make payment. I found this link on Paypal which might have provided the coding of 'Smart Buttons' and I wonder if anyone can teach me how to replace the current button, basically to code inject or use custom CSS but for the Checkout Page. I know code injection or use custom CSS can be done on content pages however I don't know if there's a way to modify Checkout page. https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout/ https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206541037 Thank you for your help! paul2009
You're right, it's downright confusing for customers. The initial payment screen suggests that payment requires a PayPal account, whereas it doesn't because you can use the PayPal Guest Checkout to take debit and credit card payments using PayPal too - without an account. Unfortunately your suspicions are also correct. You cannot add code to the checkout page, so it's something that none of us can change. This is one of a number of issues with the checkout that are beyond our control to change. All that you can do is to lobby Squarespace to make this tiny tweak to caption the button with some additional information, if Stripe is not enabled. This forum is not routinely monitored for product feature requests so to provide feedback about this to Squarespace, raise a ticket through Customer Support.
