Adding footer to Tremont 7.0

I've already redesigned the home page for my Tremont 7.0 template.  But I'd like to add a footer to the home page.  How can I do it?  When I click edit, there doesn't seem to be any option for it.

Tremont doesn't offer a footer for Index Pages, so if your homepage is an Index Page, it won't be possible to add a footer to it under Squarespace's built-in features. This is outlined in the help guide which I am linking below:

This may be possible to achieve using some custom code.
