milowindsor 27 Share Posted February 24, 2020 Site URL: https://lonsdalestudio.com/ Hi I'm planning to migrate from Moksha (Brine family) 7.0 to version 7.1? Does anyone know of a template most similar to Moksha in version 7.1? And yes I'm aware I can use any elements in 7.1, I just want a starting point similar to my current site. Thanks! Link to post
MaryPhilip_ 83 Share Posted February 25, 2020 Hi @milowindsor, I'd suggest Utica as a starting point: https://utica-demo.squarespace.com/ Let us know how you get on! 🙂 Hi 👋 I'm a Squarespace Expert Member, Circle Member & only Squarespace Authorised Trainer in Scotland. Susana_SQSP 57 Share Posted March 2, 2020 @yanxing If you have a site on 7.0 that you want to move to 7.1, you'll need indeed to start a trial on 7.1, recreate your site's design, then move your domain. For more detailed steps, visit this help guide: Moving from Squarespace version 7.0 to version 7.1 Before making a decision, I’d recommend reading all about 7.1’s new features here: About Squarespace version 7.1 Link to post
Del 0 Share Posted April 1 I, too, am looking for a 7.1 Template closest to Moksha, and I don't see how the suggested template, 'Utica' is at all similar. Is there another template more closely related? Thanks. Link to post
derricksrandomviews 557 Share Posted April 2 (edited) 7.1 is in effect one template family with 18 starting designs, using different color palates, fonts, layouts, but all those differences are in every 7.1 template for you to choose from and any template design point can be made to look like another. That being said the Brine Family template, Moksha's split navigation around both sides of the title or logo is not a default option in 7.1. It can be done with Custom CSS code however: https://stnsvn.com/blog/how-to-make-a-split-navigation-in-squarespace-71 Also 7.1 does not have parallax scrolling by default which Moksha also has. That too can be added with custom css code. https://stnsvn.com/blog/how-to-add-parallax-scrolling-squarespace-7-1 Edited April 2 by derricksrandomviews Del 1 Link to post
