JWilkins
I am trying to hide the titles of my Youtube video by adding ?showcontrols=0 to the embedded code. Every youtube video I have watched show that this should work but it's not working on squarespace. Any tips on how to hide my videos title and controls? See photo attached for the titles I want to hide. The play button is fine as is. Thanks! Link to comment
paul2009
In 2018, they decided that the channel avatar and video title were "an important part of YouTube’s core user experience" and they should always display before playback begins, when playback is paused, and when playback ends. They therefore deprecated any parameters that prevented this. The effect of the change is that you can no longer hide them. This is controlled by YouTube not Squarespace. If you need to use videos without titles you may want to consider a paid plan on one of the other supported video hosting platforms. About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017.
