adjust space between site title and menu navigation on the mobile site

Since most of the views are on mobile rather than desktop to my site, it would help if the menu bar actually functioned properly. Unless you click right at the top of the word "menu" the drop down list of menu items will not appear and the page just refreshes itself. Any coding I can insert for the mobile view so that people can actually view my whole website via their phone, rather than just the homepage? There essentially needs to be more space between the menu and the website title. It's a glitch that Squarespace can't fix.
