clone site with a modified template

Hi,

So we have settled on a template design and worked out a new Global website. No we want to create subsidiary sites for each of the countries that our company operates in. It should have the same look but different content.

I have tweaked an existing template just slightly (and pushed it back with Git), and therefore I would like to use it for the new websites. How do I use my custom template to create new sites? This is 7.0, not 7.1.

Also, it would have helped if I could clone the existing site with the contents, but as I understand, that is not possible?
