Counting Calculator

I work for a waste hauling company and we pick up nearly 1BB pounds of fruits/vegetables annually from national grocer. I am looking to create a count up visual on our site that reflects the estimate number of pounds picked up to date (10 years and counting and then relate that to the amount of CO2 removed in this process.  The part I need help with is any code I can inject (.js) into the page that would display this as a counter (up) and potentially never end.
