Horizontal Gallery Scrolling

Hi,

I am looking at making a website that scrolls horizontally. A very simple site with title and menu in the top left hand corner.

There would be a few galleries which I would like to scroll horizontally containing different sizes of images. I have already started something but the galleries only allow you to click through. Any help would be much appreciated . 

This is desperately needed. Come on Squarespace!

We the squarespace 7.1 addicts need this so much!  There must be some css or javascript magicians out there somewhere who would love to share. 

www.squarestylist.com offer a paid solution https://www.squarestylist.com/shop/horizontal-scrolling-gallery-squarespace but I have tried it and it is shitty code to say the least and there i no mobile drag and scroll function and the overall smoothness is terrible. Tried contacting the one who made it and she never replied. 

There must be some css wizards out there!

There are two templates that do this by default 

one is Momemtum. https://momentum-demo.squarespace.com/

The other is Forte. 

Gallery sections in 7.1 can be set for "slideshow-reel" which is a horizonal scroll. The images can be adjusted for full bleed, full and inset.  The image height can be changed also. 

Just confirming that 7.1 galleries can use a horizontal scroll. Just look for the option in the settings!

@Winther, @FullCircleDesigns, @kendalnoctor you can do this easily with SquareKicker now. Select as many sections as you want to scroll horizontally, choose left to right scroll or reverse, choose a flow into screen, fixed background, and finally this is fully optimised for mobile devices. All without having to touch a single line of code! Does this work for you?
