Using squarespace themes "lightbox anything" to display URL on mobile - cookies issue

Hi, 

I've made a site and am looking to use a 3rd party booking software that works on PC and mobile (FYI acuity scheduling is not sufficient for what I need).

I have bought and installed the "lightbox anything" plug in from squarespace themes that opens a specific URL in the lightbox when user presses "book now" button on my site. So far so good, and the user is presented with the booking calendar in the lightbox. 

What should happen next is the user chooses time and date and the booking URL updates to the next screen. This is where the problem occurs. The booking page says 'page not found' once date and time are selected. (This seems to just be a problem on mobile devices)

I'm pretty sure it's to do with cookies or similar. If the user opens the booking URL in a new tab then it works perfectly and booking URL progresses to next screen correctly. They can then use the lightbox as normal on subsequent bookings and data passes to and from the booking system correctly. If I then clear cookies the problem reappears until the link is opened in a new window. 

Any thoughts on how to handle?

Upon advice from "squarespace themes" I have tried putting the URL in a code box as an iframe instead to test. This also fails if the user hasn't previously opened the URL in a new tab. 

I don't want to always open the link in new window as then i lose the user from my site. 

Is there a way of getting lightbox to open in new window for the first time and lightbox thereafter perhaps?

Hi. I have tried contacting them. Responses were very brief and I have tried their solution which was to open an iframe with the booking window on the page. It hasn’t worked. 
I have followed up with response to sqsqthemes but thought I’d try here too :)
