Responsive Filterable Gallery

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I would like to make a frontpage with an introduction of myself and then a section with my portfolio where you should be able to filter to view only for example "campaign" "illustration" and "graphic design" Does anyone have an idea for how to make this? Should I add the images as products or blogposts?

Is there any way to have this in squarespace in a smooth way?

like this feature: http://mportfolio.galaxy-themes.com/fashion/

Kind regards
Lisbet

I'm testing & writing, but I have this problem. What do you think?

My intention is to create a page like this, you will see the categories All Branding, Creative ...

Click on each category, it will filter out the corresponding portfolios

And this is my original intention. Create Portfolio pages, and change sub-pages according to a special structure. Then create Filterable Portfolio Page, use Summary Block + Code to connect sub-pages in Portfolio Pages. However, I have discovered that Summary Block does not allow displaying porfolios from Portfolio pages :(

And here are 2 ways to solve this problem. what do you think?

W1. Still create portfolio pages, with sub-pages using special url structure. Then create a Filterable Page, use the Gallery Block/Section, add images, and insert links to the corresponding portfolios of Portfolio Pages.

pros is that you can use the default styles of Portfolios

W2. Create Blog Page (with Blog page = Portfolio Page, Blog Posts = Portfolios). Then create a Filterable Page (Portfolio Page), use the Gallery Block/Section to connect to the posts in the created blog page.

pros is that you can use tags, categories

Just one update: I tried it on Business Plan last week, but it didn't work. I am trying a different way, hoping to finish this week.

Hey, any luck so far?

Hi @tuanphan, I'm following this because I'd love a solution too!

Try this Filter Plugin. You can create filter features, support both Gallery Page, Portfolio Page, Blog Page, Product Page, Summary Blocks.

You can also use it to add search, sorf by Price/Alphabetically,...

Thanks @tuanphan I've seen that - however I'm not looking for a product filter - its a personal website with a gallery that I want to filter, similar to the OP's question! 🙂

Hi tuanphan!

Are these the complete steps to doing this without a plugin? Where is the code? Thank You!

Is this up on your blog? I can't seem to find it but I might not be looking in the right place

No luck with Personal plan.

You can create more pages, add projects, insert Text link above, link to each pages.
