User can filter categories

Hi!

I have been struggling with the design of my gallery/portfolio and would love some input. I want to put quite many pictures on to the website and have the user filter them after type. In my case wedding, portraits, family and business (as it can be seen here: https://maylin-wied.de/gallery/portfolio/).

After trying for a few days I have no idea how to do it properly.
