Custom “Out Of Stock” label for individual product

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hoping for a solution to change the product status of an individual product - e.g. in this case from a sitewide “out of stock” label to a custom “out of season” for certain individual products.

This would only apply to a certain category of products or could be targeted individually by product id.

Please provide us with a working link to one of these out of season products and ensure the category has been added to it.

Was there ever a resolution on this question? I have a client who has made the same request, @paul2009 & @BureauSF. She is an artist and wants to be able to customize the "out of stock" label by category for certain pieces. Thanks!

@BureauSF I didn't receive a notification to show that you'd responded (way back in January) so I'm not sure what happened there.

Here's a post that should do what you need:

Hi @paul2009, I tried your instructions and realized it probably isn't compatible with 7.1. Is there a workaround for that would be compatible that too? I'm looking to add some products with a custom label of "Coming Soon". Thanks!
