Adjust "from" on native price

I'm trying to reduce the font-size of the word "from"relative to the price font on a product page. Does anyone know how?

It's possible to change the "native price", but the from word inherits it's size from the actual price font-size. So as soon as you choose a product variant the "native price" amendments wont carry through.

I've seen there are ways to remove the "from"word., but not how to change it without effecting the price once variants are selected.
