Minimum/Maximum Purchase Quantites

Hi I am setting up a store and have different pricing tiers. I have set these up as 1 product, multiple variants with the same price point, then a second product, multiple variants with the discounted price point. Not beautiful, but hey it will work.....almost. what is the coding to limit the quantity a customer can choose on the drop down for each tier?  I am aware that they will be able to change this on the checkout page.
