adding button to portfolio gallery

Hello,

I am struggling to add a button to my portfolio gallery.

I am using a portfolio Gallery grid on the homepage  with minimal of 9 images and underneath i want to place a "view all work" button which will direct to the full portfolio (separate) page. I know I can add extra elements in sections by selecting the little "grey selector inserts" but with this portfolio grid this feature is not working.

Should i use normal images grid on homepage instead of portfolio grid? And then on the main portfolio page use the grid (the existing one)?
