Resize Banner - only for Desktop

Hi everyone,

I am using the Hayden Template and do not display any overlay titles or texts....therefore the banners are visually quite small in height (especially problematic on desktop).

I searched for some solutions and found one with custom CSS to increase the banner height.
Works fine but now on mobile the banners are way too high....

Is there a simple way to make my custom css settings to be ignored on mobile? (basically should use the default of the theme)....Or what modifications should I do to my custom css that it looks good....

Currentl I am using following custom css code:

.transparent-header.view-list .banner-thumbnail-wrapper,
.transparent-header.collection-type-page .banner-thumbnail-wrapper{
   padding: 600px 0 200px;
}
