You can insert 2 images. Then use Custom code to hide 1 image on Desktop, hide 1 image on Mobile.

You can try doing this, then share url again, we can give the code.

I'm having a similar issue with my site as well. How do you insert two images for a banner image? And would that same idea work for a grid gallery? Adding two versions and hiding one on mobile/desktop? Sorry if necroposting

You can also use CSS to resize image, or set new image on mobile. If you share link to your site, I can take a look
