VI_VANTE Posted December 24, 2019 Share Posted December 24, 2019 I have reached out to Squarespace Support Multiple Times on my concerns for the lack of shipping options within the platform. For Starters, we are unable to input our FEDEX discount into the shipping. For example a FEDEX 2 day one rate cost us $6.99 on the website it wants to charge the customer $22! Also, there's also no calculated international shipping, from any carrier! Furthermore, while you can mark up shipping, you can't subsidize it, a simple change in code. I have patiently waited for months but nothing has changed. I have done my best to figure out flat rates for international and it's either costing me money and sales. As my business continues to grow I am optimistic Squarespace will grow with me and recognize the significance of this issue. I get weekly emails from square space, showing changes and I'm constantly disappointed this is looked over. Link to comment

I need to be able to ship internationally and the "flat rate" or "weight" option is way to inaccurate for my business. I signed up to an Advanced Commerce Plan thinking the "Carrier Calculated Shipping" would include int. shipping rates. It does NOT. Squarespace, this should be your number one priority to set up. Please consider working closer with ShipStation, maybe have it built right into the Advanced Commerce plan, so you don't even need to leave the site. For Squarespace to advance, you need real time carrier calculated shipping for international order built in to the advanced plan. You guys are doing a great job and you're smart, so get on with it. I was looking to move my existing website over to squarespace so I could have more day-to-day control but after reading these posts about shipping I will not be doing so. Squarespace, please sort this essential functionality as I have other non-commerce sites with you and I enjoy the general design/functionality options in all other aspects. Thank you! Link to comment

Can anyone else please post their issues wish squarespace's limited shipping options for carrier discount and international rates? Whatever I pay a month for square space is nothing compared to what I loose in customers and miscalculations on international shipping. I have opened so many cases and only get generic responses. This is the time and this is the place to get them to open their eyes to the problems. I am VI-Vante.com and I have shipped to over 40 countries around the world and in 2020 will ship to many more with our without square space. As my brand grows we may have to switch platforms sooner then later if this is not addressed. That's not a threat it's a business plan and adapting for growth. Link to comment

Setting up a store for the first time and unfortunately just now realizing the shortcomings with Squarespace commerce as it comes to international shipping. Hoping this gets resolved soon as I'm way down the tracks on my site and dont want to start over on another platform. Following. Link to comment
finer Posted January 5, 2020 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Shipping options are way too limited IMO. Why on earth can't you offer free shipping on purchases over a certain amount? You have to mess around trying to calculate by weight. This is one of the reasons I will be soon switching to Shopify for my online store. Link to comment
