Madkat Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Is there a way to connect or link Lightroom albums in Squarespace yet? It wasn't possible when I was using Squarespace a couple years ago, but I'm considering moving back to Squarespace and was wondering if this feature had been added yet. Thanks! ethancparrish, nilsohman, Michele and 1 other 4
Michele Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 I'm also very interested in this capability for an Adobe Lightroom plugin for my Squarespace website. It would be great if someone could update us on this topic! In my research, Wordpress and others can already do this...
melissawatsonellis Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 ME TOO! @SQUARESPACE you should get on this! Twfstuff 1
Dreamchaser Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 That would be Awesome! Also interested in such feature!!!
Twfstuff Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Agree, make an easy connection to Lightroom. daimone 1
andisoa Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Also want plugin for Lightroom Classic to square space. Would love it! daimone 1
wirthit Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Yo Squarespace, make the plugin! Would love it daimone 1
ethancparrish Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 Lols, people have been asking for a LR plugin for years. SS seems to just downright refuse to consider it. I've been checking in on progress annually for a while now... nothing. moxiecreativesolutions and daimone 2
derricksrandomviews Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 (edited) There is nothing in that regard as of yet. What would you like that plug in to allow you to do? Edited October 11, 2021 by derricksrandomviews daimone 1
Guest Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 @derricksrandomviews It would be so if the plug-in can help transfer photo from lightroom :)
SefPinneyDesign Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 Hi people. The Moderator Derrick asked what you'd like to do! On 3/16/2021 at 6:10 PM, derricksrandomviews said: There is nothing in that regard as of yet. What you you like that plug in to allow you to do? If you want to help improve Squarespace please engage him and tell him and SS the functionality you would want to connect Adobe Lightroom to Squarespace. Be specific, and help us ouline how SS Galleries would actually link up with lightrooms image and metadata output. Captions, Titles and Gallery controls are potentially all possible. From my point of view as a designer / photographer, What would be a great start initially would just be called: Publish Services: for SquareSpace In Adobe Lightroom Classic. This could be as simple as the stored Login credentials for the site (in this case, your SS login,) and the ability to select where the images upload to. Plus, necessary selections over image size, compression, naming, Metadata, etc. to conform to what SS needs. Here is Flicker: LRc Publish on Flicker (attached) I would suggest that since Web galleries in LR are HTML table monsters (pretty sure.) that we should avoid them... and let SquareSpace do what they do best, and manage all Styling and backend after the upload However, there might a really great opportunity to build a true SquareSpace PLUGIN for Lightroom that would open up really powerful Photo gallery processing from Lightroom and publish it to Squarespace. I consider both of these companies product (specifically LR here.) best in class in their respective arenas... and they could benefit from connecting in this programatic way. @derricksrandomviews : Please contact me when there's some interest in making this real, and I will help outline it's interface more in detail, although finding an internal user of Lightroom Classic would be your first step. wilbignal and daimone 2
RemcoHotlooks Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) @derricksrandomviews SefPinneyDesign's description and desired outcomes is in line with my needs too. Some reasons why this would be useful: It will save a lot of time not having to export jpgs and then import to Squarespace The publish service is in sync with the destination so if you need to update or modify an image, you can in Lightroom and just republish the affected images Edited December 21, 2021 by RemcoHotlooks herrbrandingcompany, daimone, MartyC and 1 other 3 1
Crewchief408 Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 I agree with the last two posts and their comments. Having the ability to sync collections/galleries with Squarespace from Lightroom is top priority with me. This would prevent duplicate uploads as everything would be neatly organized in Lightroom and syncing would add or remove images as I desire. daimone 1
r_f_handel Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 I too would like this feature and am considering switching to WIX primarily because of the lack of this feature. Crewchief408 1
Brammers Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 As per the other posts this is critical. Flickr has a publisher plugging that allow for the synch of photos.
Guest Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 (edited) I would find this plug-in SUPER helpful as I have a photography portfolio and managing lots of images can become a headache. I am currently a format.com subscriber for their plug-in ONLY. If squarespace offered a similar plugin I would immediately move over. https://help.format.com/en/articles/2645452-format-publisher-plugin-for-adobe-lightroom Edited April 20, 2022 by AdrianPHX

The irony, I am here from Wix looking for an alternative. Hey, the grass is always greener! Looks like squarespace has just lost a wix converter.
derricksrandomviews Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 (edited) Elfsite will integrate Adobe Portfolio with Squarespace, Portfolio imports images from Lightroom. It may not be as great as a direct Lightroom plugin, but some are working with it. I am not an adobe user, I have other programs that I use to add my photos to my site and manage them so you only have my research here to go by. Edited August 2, 2022 by derricksrandomviews
Artieb Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 (edited) I am also using Lightroom Classic from long time. This would be really helpful if we can connect Lightroom Classic with Squarespace. I would like to know if anyone has idea regarding it, so that I can connect Lightroom with my Squarespace website. Edited January 10, 2023 by Artieb Sunnyday 1
Captive_Image_Photography Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Would also like to add my voice to the croud interested in a Lightroom to Squarespace plugin to facilitate ease of site media management.
Sunnyday Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Wow...4 years and Squarespace wasn t able to implement a LR Plugin yet... Would be amazing if that s on the list of NEW FEATURES.
AdrianC64 Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 I'm an amateur photographer and a longtime Lightroom user. I have my website set up on SmugMug. They have a great plugin for Lightroom that allows me to create a smart collection, based on criteria that I specify, and then sync the content with my website. The criteria is based on images that contain a certain tag and have been rated 3 stars or higher. I can configure what size the images are uploaded at to the website and also if they have a watermark. Sometimes I go back into Lightroom and edit a few images again, all I have to do is select the collection and it will highlight if there are any changes, I click on Publish if there are any. This would be a win\win for Adobe \ Squarespace. I'm looking at helping to set up a website for a community group I'm involved with which will have regular photo content updates. I'll be setting it up on Smugmug if there is no Lightroom plugin for SQS.
