Brine: add a block on blog page

Hi all,

I would like to add some extra content at the bottom of my blog page, like a summary block or a gallery

But the Brine template, set on grid, doesn't let me add any type of content. All I see are my blog posts. Is there a way around this?

The workaround I use is to:

1. Create a new page that you call Blog, but is just a standard page.
2. On that new page, use a summary block to pull in your blog posts. 
3. Under that summary block, you can add any other normal blocks you'd like.
4. Move the new page to your main navigation and move your Blog to Not Linked.

The limitation to this is that you can only pull in 30 blog posts in a summary block. To get around that limit I use the lazy summaries plugin.
