Carousel Slider Menu/Buttons Function

Hello,

Wondering if someone could help me create a similar slider/menu effect as this website : https://valgeir.net/#works

I don't need the transition effect of when you switch between options, but I'd like to recreate the multiple categorial  button that sorts depending on which subhead link you click. Or if this is even possible within Squarespace?

I'm currently using the Horizon template.
