Zoom out on cover page photo

Is there any way to zoom our or change the position of a photo in a cover page without custom CSS?

I'm using the Flash cover page template and my photo is cut off. This seems to happen no matter what photo I use. I have tried resizing the photo (and may have just not resized it to be smaller/bigger enough). I have also tried other photos, and they all have this same issue.

There is no option to use the Focal Point parameter, like similar questions suggest (e.g. here), and custom CSS (like this thread suggests) requires paying additional monthly fees which frankly I'm not motivated to do.

I've tried to create my own cover page from scratch, but again having a front page that looks different than the other pages (i.e. no banner nav, etc) requires custom CSS and thus a higher tier plan.

Looking for a hack to get this to work.
