Help for modifying FORTE template

Hi everyone, I am just learning about coding, and would like to ask you few questions. 

This website was using forte template and modified it http://www.aifny.com/

Is there any possibility to increase the space from the top of the page and title/navigation bar?

Also still trying to find a code to remove background for the arrows but few codes that I used doesn't work...

And the last question is how to dim slightly entire page when you drag mouse on the navigation bar?
