Select multiple images on 'imported' tab

I am creating a gallery that includes many previously-uploaded images. 

I know how to add one of these at a time (search images > imported) but cannot find a way to add multiple images from the imported tab. This makes the whole process painfully slow - surely there is a way around it?

Is there a solution for this yet? I'm interested to know this as well.

If I want to make a new gallery that re-uses dozens of images I've already uploaded, opening the "imported" tab and hunting for each image individually is a real drag. There should be a way to shift-click multiple images...

Same here!. I uploaded a lot of photos to the wrong place, and it turns out I can't move them, so only option is to recreate gallery and add again. One at a time is too slow a process, so I now need to up load them all again!

Seems silly there is no media or file manager function where you can manage uploaded images. :(

After five years of using squarespace, I still use my desktop photo mangaer, that sorts and opens  containment folders, allows me to open multiple screens, drag and drop photos where I want them. I pay very little attention to the built in image gallery. This is what I use, and its free, not a trial, totally free.

How is this not an option? The file management is just appalling.

Not really a solution

Its a workaround, but I can tell you having some kind of photo management feaure like one hosting compay I have used has (if they still have one,  their templates are awful) and others  have is most likely not going to happen, images are stored in such a way to make sure your site is responsive, images adjust to fit  on all devices and with all screen resolutions. They give you more control and that could very well  go away. 

Is anybody going to address this? It's incredible and frustrating that nobody is trying to fix this. I don't want to leave SP but this is really a great reason to if it's not addressed soon.

select multiple photos to add to a gallery with a option-click or command-click -- or even just a single click for each image needed -- should be standard.

many people are using multiple photos across different galleries. Choosing 10 images already uploaded in a new gallery means you have to search image ten times, and if the image you want has been uploaded earlier, you have to scroll down which takes forever.

Other sites enabled multiple selections years ago. Why hasn't squarespace?

Just ran into this issue today as well. Would very much like to see a fix, its proving to be quite a sore point for organizing galleries and trying to use the same photo more than once.

STILL having this issue myself, getting real pissed at squarespace's lack of willingness to resolve popular complaints

As a software developer myself its very frustrating to see my collegues at Squarespace ignoring what should be easy fixed with great user experience improvement!

I'm rejigging my site into a new template and it's 100% easier to re-upload all the files than it is to select them, one by one, from the Squarespace file manager. It adds up to a huge waste of my time when I have a project that shows 30 images that I have to dig out of my own computers' archives OR spend approx 1 minute each looking for the already uploaded files in the Squarespace file manager. I hope this gets fixed as it's a glaring oversight, enough that I bothered to google a solution, found this thread, logged in here and commented about it! Agh!

Building multiple galleries and this is so GD annoying and time consuming. I'm about ready to move to another platform over this, and I love SQS.

This is an absolute farce. It would take 5 seconds to add this function.
