Slow buttons?

I have noticed odd behaviour on Brine templates, on iOS 13.2.2. It looks like this:

Text links work as expected, e.g. hover effects, and the linked page loads quickly.

Buttons, however, suffer a delay when clicked before the hover effect kicks in, and then another delay before the linked page starts to load. Sometimes, the button shows clicked state but nothing happens until another click.

I can see that on some of these clicks, Safari using location services (location services arrow goes solid for a second when the button is clicked).

This happens on my site: https://www.wayfarenursing.com as well as other Brine-based sites that I've tried out.

Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Update! Was able to fix by removing a hover effect in the css, based on this article: https://css-tricks.com/annoying-mobile-double-tap-link-issue/
