How to label an item as sold out on individual product page (not the status badge)

Hi! I’m wondering if there’s a way to display a sold out marker on individual product pages. I link products on my Instagram and so customers will go directly to the product page and might not see the sold out badge that displays in the gallery/category view. 

Is there a way to automatically add sold out text to the individual product page? I found a code that would replace the price with sold out, or remove the “add to cart” button, but I’d prefer to keep both visible. I’m using a brine template.
