Google Search Console flagging pages with The tag ‘img’ should be replaced with an equivalent ‘amp-img’ tag"

Recommended Posts

Google Search Console is flagging increasing number of pages on my website with the message "The tag ‘img’ should be replaced with an equivalent ‘amp-img’ tag". The pages being flagged are old blog posts from many years ago but which are still getting traffic. Obviously they weren't AMP optimised back then and the problem is arising now as those pages get freshly crawled. Is this a problem that can be easily fixed or will I need to hire a freelancer? I'm reasonably proficient with SS but I don't have sufficient technical knowledge to do backend work on my site.

I run a small content consultancy out of the Philippines doing backoffice SEO work for digital marketing agencies in Australia. I also publish and write for xyzAsia - an online magazine for senior travellers in Asia.

SQS can you provide a solution to an Error which appears when an image/logo is used in markdown block. How do we include the (amp-img) as the Google Search Console is flagging this at present as a Error?? AMP is an option you have included within the SQS Dashboard and must have come across this like the above users.

Live chat passed on to developers - mentioned that Google Console is a third party product and because SQS is CMS platform.. may show these Errors about your site but how it appears should be ok
