Commerce - Shared Inventory AcrossVariants

Hi there,

We have hit some limitations with the commerce platform.

We have some products each with a colour variant - but we have not found a way to ensure that the colours of that product share a single product inventory.
The only way to manage this is to either manually update the inventory across colours after each sale or use a form for each product. We would like to do neither of these.
There should be a simple solution where there is a base quantity for the product and the variants deduct from this when a sale is made.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I agree that there should be a solution to this but unfortunately there isn’t really any work around. I guess you could build one with the Inventory API but it would be a lot of technical setup. The best advise I can give is to submit a feature request with customer care.

Thank you - very frustrating that this feature doesn't already exist.

This major oversight is making me consider moving to another platform before I even launch my site...I really cannot believe this feature is missing...
