Guest ElizabethJ
Hello, I would like to know what are the customization limits on coding level in SquareSpace for our Dental Clinic website? Can we do everything like we do on self hosted wordpress platform? Is there any migration guide or checklist from WordPress to Squarespace? Also, can we create custom landing pages for promotional purpose only without default header? Thank You Link to comment

paul2009
@ElizabethJ Squarespace is a website builder platform, not hosting. This offers many advantages over WordPress and the like, but there are some limitations as a result. In terms of code, you can add frontend code using JavaScript and CSS, or turn on Developer Mode and build pages using JSON-T - losing all maintenance updates from Squarespace. You cannot amend backend code, which means you cannot fundamentally change the way Squarespace works. For example, you cannot amend the checkout or add alternative methods of payment to the built-in commerce features. About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017.
