Solution paul2009 Posted November 3, 2019 Solution Share Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) The code solution to achieve this is quite complex and cannot be answered with a short snippet of code. There's a plugin available that can do this for you: Lazy Summaries. The configuration includes the following dropdown: Edited April 14, 2022 by paul2009 vic 1 About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017. thecigarbible
Thank you for the answer. That plugin sure does look good. How is the filtration achieved? Does the plugin read the tags added to the blog post or?? Link to comment
paul2009
I'm not sure what you mean. The sort order is determined by the content of the collection being displayed in the Summary Block. Is that what you mean? About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017. I value honesty, transparency, diversity and good design ♥. thecigarbible
My website is about Cigars, specifically cigar reviews. Typically the cigars are reviewed on the price, rated in stars, and strength etc.. If we take the price as an example. This data is normally given in a code block on my website that is illustrated. If I want the plugin to filter my blog posts price from high to low, how and where do I direct the plugin to find that data if it is in a code block... Does the plugin look at the connected tags to each blog post or? Link to comment
paul2009
I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing. Let me check that I understood your question.  I believe that you want to sort blog posts alphabetically by their title. If you add a Summary Block to a page it can display your blog content. When the plugin is installed, you will have the additional option of sorting the Summary Block content alphabetically.  About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017. thecigarbible
I apologies for not being clearer. Yes you are correct that is what I want to do. In the screenshot you posted though, there is also the option to sort blog posts by price high/low or low/high. Each of my Blog posts are a single product (cigar) that I review. Each cigar has its own price and Im wondering how a visitor on my website could sort the cigars Alphabetically and also by price. 🙂 Link to comment
