How do I put an MP4 Video on Landing Page that autoplays?

Can someone please help? 

I am trying to put an MP4 video on the home page. I want the video to autoplay. I do not want to use an embedded video from YouTube or other video hosting websites. I am not sure what else to do to get this task done.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

@Kenni Yes, it is possible.

Before Squarespace added the background videos feature, a number of articles were written explaining how to add MP4 and other types of video. For example, see this one by @colin.irwin from 2014.
