Jonny303 0 Posted October 26 Hi, I'm trying to use a product page in bedford. On desktop it is perfect, the category display at the side. However in mobile when you land on the page the "+" button to expand the categories is barely visable and I've had a number of people say they can't find it. Is there any way to add text infront of this or even open the page with the drop down menu already dropped down? Share this post Link to post
paul2009 28,463 Posted October 26 It will really help us if you include a working link to the page in your question. It allows us to see the issue first-hand. If your site isn't live yet, please set a site password and tell us what it is, so that we can view it. 1 Jonny303 reacted to this If a response has helped you, please give thanks using the button.Need personalised help? Jonny303 0 Posted October 26 https://www.poppiesnewcastle.ie/online-shop Thanks Paul. The shop isn't constructed yet, there is just a few samples thrown in. Share this post Link to post
Jonny303 0 Posted October 30 Sorry link has changed now to www.poppiesnewcastle.ie/ghd Share this post Link to post
paul2009 28,463 Posted October 30 Yes, either could be done - add text to the tiny "-" icon or make the menu always visible. If it were me, I'd make the category nav visible all the time, but make the links appear inline so they don't take up too much space on the smaller display. I took a look at the site, but you appear to have the mobile styles disabled? I see a desktop view on mobile. 2 brandon and Jonny303 reacted to this If a response has helped you, please give thanks using the button.Need personalised help? Jonny303 0 Posted October 30 Sorry Paul, I literally just had it disabled there to see if it would work. How would I make them visable at all times? Thanks Share this post Link to post
Jonny303 0 Posted October 30 I think my issue might be that I'm using bedford? I've found that it doesn't work with the advanced product styling Share this post Link to post
paul2009 28,463 Posted October 30 Bedford is an older template and you are right that it doesn't support some of the newer features like the Advanced Products Page. However, it is still one of the most popular template families and you can still modify things like the category navigation bar with code. I see you've removed the category nav now, so I'm assuming you don't need a solution for it now. If a response has helped you, please give thanks using the button.Need personalised help?
