File upload in contact form

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

is this possible to add a file upload to a contact form? I tried and wasn't able to add one.

If it is possible which data formats are supported? My customer (manufacturer) needs an easy way for their customers to upload CAD files to request a quote from them, but it seems impossible in squarespace. I don't want to fully commit to SpaceSquare if I'm already running into barriers.

Thanks a lot!!

Not by default, but @michaeleparkour created a plugin that you can use to create a file uploader for the built-in forms. https://www.squarewebsites.org/blog/squarespace-websites-uploader

I use @michaeleparkour's tool as well. Another option would be to embed a Wufoo, Typeform, or another 3rd party form that allows for uploads in a code block.

I may be doing something wrong but I cannot get @michaeleparkour's solution to work for me.

I have tried both Google Drive and One Drive URLs in the upload URL parameter but it doesn't pull through a link into the form submission email nor does thhe file get placed in the destination folder.

Any help would be appreciated!
