Collect monthly payments for customers (who have an account balance)

Hello,

We run a membership organization that collects monthly payments for members. The payments vary by tier of membership. Currently, we collect member payments manually (via checks) or, alternatively, via paypal. But this approach doesn't let us: (1) tell members that a new monthly payment is due, (2) enable members to see their payment history, (3) support automated payments, (4) make sure all members pay what is due to pay.

Our site is currently built in Squarespace. We have tried use e-commerce solutions as a method of collecting payments. But that delivers a strange UX (members pay their monthly fee by buying from the store) and doesn't support account balances and management over time.

Is there a plugin, tool, or integration available to Squarespace to manage fee-based memberships?

You may be able to achieve this with Subscriptions.  It requires the Advanced Commerce plan and you can read more about it here.
