change color of navigation dropdown box in Forte Template

Hello!

I am looking to change the color of my navigation dropdown box in the Forte template. Currently my site background is white and the navigation dropdown box is black with white text. I'd like the box to be white with black text. Does anyone have any tips on how to customize this. Forte template does not allow white site background and white dropdown boxes.
