Weekly emails with backups of database attached

HI,

In the olden days I had a Wordpress site, and it was set up so that I could receive an email weekly with the most current version of my database.

It appears from what I've learned today that, at least with Wordpress and other sites, that a Linux cron job can be written to accomplish this. Does anyone know if this can be done with a Squarespace site, and if so, how I can get that done? Any off the shelf code? Any experts here who would know how to write one?
