Change color of one word in text block

I want to change the color of a single word in a text block. I tried using a code block, which worked, but then a link in the same block was gone. I linked with code, however, then the color, underline and hover color of the link was gone. Does anyone know how I can inject code to realign the link style back to the rest of the page?
