Guest
I don't have a page set up that specifically refers to this problem, but is there any information I can provide you with? Link to comment
paul2009
Have you tried using Card Image Blocks? They display images with text to the left or right, with optional background colours. The text usually moves below the images in smaller browsers and mobile devices, or when Image Blocks are used in columns. Guest
Hi Paul, I have, but I'm wondering if the caption can live outside of the image block. I feel like that'd open up tons of fun possibilities. Link to comment
paul2009
It's a little difficult to understand the issue you are facing, when you haven't provided a link to a page with the issue. You can add anything to 'block 2' in your diagram, including a duplicate of the caption. Please try to be more specific, and ensure you include a working link to the page on your site and the steps you’ve taken so far. If your site isn't live yet, please set a site password and tell us what it is. About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017. I value honesty, transparency, diversity and good design ♥. PLT
I found this because I was wondering the same thing. I've used code on non-SquareSpace sights that allow me to create a separate div which will automatically display an image caption. And I think in WP it's called "get_attachment_caption" or something to that effect. To be able to use a text block for image captions and place it anywhere on the page would be... the coolest.
