eggimage Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 There seems to be no way to do this quickly. If I were to duplicate 400 images in a gallery page, I'd have to "click on settings of each image, click on duplicate" 400 times, then select all the duplicates to move them to a new gallery. Also, during this long process, people can see your messed up page as you duplicate and move stuff one by one.. Is there a way around it? Thanks
paul2009 Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 We'd like to help but it is difficult to understand what you are asking. For example you mention 400 images in a gallery, yet Gallery Pages are limited to displaying 250 images. Please try to be more specific about what you are trying to achieve and ensure you include a working link to the page on your site and the steps you’ve taken so far. If your site isn't live yet, please set a site password and tell us what it is. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. eggimage Posted September 14, 2019 Author Posted September 14, 2019 @Paul2009 the “400” was just a random number i used for the purpose of giving an example. The question is the same with 250, or 100. How do I duplicate 100 images from a gallery page quickly, instead of repeating the process 100 times
paul2009 Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 If you can be more specific about the reason for wanting to do this, it will help the community to understand. Duplication isn't usually necessary on the same site and so it suggests that there's probably a better way. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. Polybanderous Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 I have a gallery full of all of my graphic design work (logos, band posters, it's a mixed bag) - it has almost 100 images in it. I've added a Category to all of the items in this gallery that are for show posters called "Show Posters." Let's say I wanted to display a Gallery block somewhere but ONLY feature the images from that Gallery that are tagged as "Show Posters." Perhaps the question is specific enough now? At the current time I don't see an option that allows me to either a) duplicate the existing gallery so I can manually delete all the non show poster items out of it or b) and option to display in a block only by a category.

If there are less than 31 show posters, you can use a Summary Block to show the Gallery Images tagged as "Show Posters." There isn't a built-in option to allow you to duplicate a Gallery.
