Set Canonical tag for SS home page?

This page: www.myweddingphotographer.co.nz/wedding-photographer-christchurch

is set as my home page for my site.

This means if anyone types in: www.myweddingphotographer.co.nz it will bring them too:www.myweddingphotographer.co.nz

Given this page has an actual url of: www.myweddingphotographer.co.nz/wedding-photographer-christchurch

I am wondering if I should set the canonical tag for this page (even though it now the home page) via the Advanced custom code?

At the end of the day, I want search engines to know that /wedding-photographer-christchurch is the page for this search term on my site.

I'm obviously confused that SS can pull up this page and just show: www.myweddingphotographer.co.nz without the /wedding-photographer-christchurch bit.

Any pointers greatly appreciated. T
