just bought a squarespace account real problems here now!

hi used shopfiy site and use it easy....... started a site on here and really struggling.

I signed up for a trial but though hour or so later I thought just pay upfront so I did.

I am now not sure on status as it says free trail running however I ve paid the money for a year. I ve ended up with the wrong template (which states on it I ve paid for it) maybe I was on it when on the trail but paid and seems only now to be that one.

Heres the thing I ve verified emails however I do keep getting welcome to square space free trail emails that's the first thing that's odd!

Second is I am told I can swap templates by opening 'Home' then 'template' then install new template. In the design menu there is no template menu stated at all never mind install a new template.

Its all very frustrating to be honest......... not such a good experience so far.

Anyone any ideas as to whats happening?

There are currently two versions of Squarespace. Version 7.0 has templates and is the regular version that most support documents refer to.

There is a new version called 7.1 which is in "early access"; this doesn't have templates and it sounds like you have signed up to this.

ah okay big thanks for responding ..... to be honest I also just tried to add my web address from 123 reg and it says I cant do it for 60 days or something. I am finding it to frustrating and have requested a refund for squarespace shame really. I can only really work on stuff at weekend for which theres no live chat help which for me is not much help.

Not sure how I managed to get a 7.1 version but menus seem to differ in that they are not there so knocking it firmly on the head. Hope your experiences are better than mine then? Maybe I ve just been very unlucky? thanks, robin
