secondsinbrewing
I am working on designing the website (Aviator template) for our upcoming brewery and am running into a bit of a snag. One of our pages will be a gallery with pictures of the beers that we have brewed, with information about the beer in the caption. Eventually, we will be releasing a lot of different beers, to the point where I'm concerned about the gallery block getting too large (which could slow down the page, having to display all the images). Is it possible to limit the number of images that are shown at a time in a gallery block (say 9 or 12), but have multiple pages? This way our users could make their way through multiple pages of the beer archive rather than having 100 different things displayed at once. Thanks for any help! Link to comment
paul2009
It depends what type of 'gallery' you are talking about. One way is to lazy load the content so that only the first x beers appear and as the visitor scrolls down the page, more are loaded and then displayed. About: Squarespace Circle Leader since 2017. secondsinbrewing
I was unaware that there were multiple types of galleries, outside of a gallery page vs. a gallery block. How can I check what type of gallery I'm using? 'Lazy loading' is definitely a way that we can do it, if there's no other option. Thanks for the reply! Link to comment
