Shop Page with multiple drop downs to filter products by category/tag

I'm making a website for an electrical company. He would like the shop page to be able to search for products by multiple drop down menus.

For example, one page will be solely for circuit breakers. There will be a form or drop down menus as follows:

Brand (several options)Type (several options)Voltage (several options)Poles (a few options)

Once they select all the options, only those products fitting that description will appear. Is this possible using tags and categories or do I need to do some hardcore coding or third party apps to make it happen?

There's a plugin called Universal Filter by Squarewebsites that does this.
