When the user/visitor clicks the thumbnail image of the product they like/choose, both the large image on the product page AND the name on the variant drop down automatically change to that of the particular chosen product.

My issues:
A. When you choose a name from the variant drop-down, the large image on the product's page will not change until the size is selected.

For a user/visitor to an online store selling a product or products via use of visual content of one kind or another, the logical steps would be:

1 The user/visitor makes their purchase from first seeing and choosing from an image of the product they like/want rather than from reading, at this stage in the purchasing process, names from the text of a variant drop down;

2 The name of any particular product is only relevant after the user/visitor has clicked the thumbnail image of the product they like/choose. That choice is then clearly confirmed, to the user/visitor, by the large image changing on the product page to the image of the product they liked/chose from the thumbnails AND by the variant drop down changing to the name of that particular chosen product;

3 After making their choice of product and seeing it confirmed in the large image window and by the name of the product in the variant drop down, the user/visitor then selects the size of the product they want.

B. When you choose an image from the thumbnail images, the name in the variant drop-down does not currently change until the name is selected manually in the drop-down.

• After the user/visitor chooses the product they like from the thumbnail images, it is not possible for him/her to manually select the name of the product in the variant drop down because they do not necessarily know what the name of the product is.

Proposed Solution: When the user/visitor clicks the thumbnail image of the product they like/choose, both the large image on the product page AND the name on the variant drop down automatically change to that of the particular chosen product.

Enquiry: Can a member of this forum, or a Squarespace specialist with experience using the platform, share any workarounds and tools you have discovered whilst modifying your own site, to implement my proposed solution, or suggest another solution?
