How do you make a colored background reach behind an image in the Bedford Template?

Recommended Posts

Very simple idea, and it should be easy to implement...

Or so I thought, upon further investigation I cannot find anyone anywhere with this same problem.

I am attaching an image of what I am trying to reproduce, anyone with a knowledge of CSS can see that it is not a normal way of styling things... Yet it is normally possible, something like this should be possible in Squarespace right?

Please; even an idea could help me out. This has really got me stuck.Thanks in advance.alt text

Do the same with CSS, will need a lot of css

div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1565664598375_47087 + .row.sqs-row {
   background: #faf6ed;
   margin-left: 40px;
   margin-right: 40px;
